Located in the heart of Roccabianca, in the province of Parma, the Castle of Roccabianca (Rocca dei Rossi) is one of the most fascinating historic fortresses in the Bassa Parmense.
Built in the mid-15th century by Pier Maria Rossi II for his beloved Bianca Pellegrini, the castle combines medieval military architecture with the elegance of a Renaissance noble residence.
Its imposing towers, fortified walls and beautiful inner courtyard preserve the atmosphere of centuries past.
Over the centuries, the castle belonged to several important noble families, including the Rossi, Pallavicino and Rangoni.
Inside, visitors can admire decorated halls, Renaissance frescoes and the famous Hall of Griselda, inspired by a story from Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron. The original frescoes are now preserved in Milan, while reproductions can be seen inside the castle.
Another attraction is the Distillation Museum, dedicated to the history of Faled Distilleries and the traditional production of Italian spirits.
Today, the castle welcomes visitors for guided tours, cultural events and special occasions, offering an interesting journey through the history and traditions of the Parma countryside.
